The Beach House
The Beach House Restaurant on Kauai offers some of the best view on the island. And, the food and drinks are really good too. Best of al, it’s located ocean-side in Poipu so great for people and sunset watching. For some reason or another, we were reluctant to try it and it took several visits to Kauai to try it out. Now, we go every trip.
It’s open daily from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm, 365 days a year. Happy Hour is from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm with live music from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. If you are looking to stop by, you can make dinner reservations on their website.
Happy Hour
Happy Hour is where it’s at. They have great food and drink specials. There is seating out on the lawn in front of the restaurant and some inside the bar section of the restaurant.
Some of our favorite specials are the lobster deviled eggs, the ravioli and you really can’t go wrong with the tacos. All the food is made with local, fresh ingredients and a lot of Aloha!
The best part, they serve the famous Monkeypod Mai Tai. We have mentioned how good this Mai Tai is in several other posts. Not surprising, the owner of Monkeypod is also one of the owners of this place.
It’s a fantastic spot to people watch. Next door there’s the popular Lawa’i Beach. Right in front of the restaurant, there’s a walkway and a popular surfing spot. While we were there, we got to watch some cute little kids show off their skills.
Romance
Also, it’s great for wedding watching. The Beach House is a fantastic place to have a wedding. It ocean side, has unobstructed sunset views and great food. If we were to do it again, we would consider this place for sure. Maybe we will do so for a vow renewal at some point. Fun fact, in 2016 it was voted one America’s Most Romantic Restaurants by Travel + Leisure.
