Hanalei Bread Company – A sweet treat!

Like most reasonable folks, I need a good coffee and something to eat in the morning. On vacation, it’s gotta be good coffee and good food at a minimum. And, I will go out of my way to make this happen.  Hanalei Bread Company delivers good coffee and great food.  Plus, it’s in one of the most charming places that you can find.

Recently renovated,  it was previously Hanalei Coffee Roasters, they makes use of a small space in a big way. With a lanai that wraps almost entirely around the front of the building, you can take in the sights and sounds of downtown Hanalei. Trust me, you see some pretty amazing stuff happening there. So try to get yourself a front row seat on the ledge facing out.

The Food

We have tried several things, ranging from baked goods like the cinnamon roll and croissants, to the daily quiche special, and amazing avocado toast. Everything made in house, and all very good. But, the real winner here is the breakfast sandwich. The bread is fresh baked, the egg is baked, and the bacon crispy, as you would expect from a great morning sandy. Pair this with a cup of local coffee, and you’re starting your day off with some serious Aloha!

There is no parking immediately in front of Hanalei Bread Company. We usually park across the street (Kuhio Highway) at the Ching Young Village Shopping Center. That way, we can also pop into Big Save and grab any water or sunscreen that we need for the activity that day. There is also parking on the same side of the street on either end of the shops.

They open at 7 am every day. It can get rather busy after 9 am, making seating a small challenge.  Go early, get some coffee and food in, then head off to take in the rest of what Hanalei has to offer, like Kayak Hanalei . Or, get your food to go and head to the beach for a breakfast with a view.
