River North Art District

There is plenty to love about the River North Art District of Denver. Nicknamed “RiNo“, this is now one of the trendiest parts of the city. Mostly known for its beautiful street art, it also has great food and beverages.

The River North Art District is within walking distance from Downtown Denver, so if it’s a nice day, take a walk. It’s well worth it.

During our last trip, we did get to spend some time there. And, here are a few of our favorite things.

The fabulous street art

The RiNo area is full of very impressive street art. Preferring to revitalize historic warehouses and factories rather than tearing things down, plenty of buildings that have been transformed into giant canvases.

Walking the streets of the RiNo district and checking out the art is a great way to spend an afternoon.

Stem Cider

Cider has been gaining much popularity in recent years.  And, Stem Cider is doing it right.

Not only do they have plenty of cider flavors, but it’s also really good.

One of the interesting thing is that they hold various foods and cider pairing events. The one that caught my eye is a cider and cookie pairing event. If I lived closer, I would be there! But they also have tapas and cider and

The only negative to this place is that they have limited food items, but they have food trucks on site. But really, this place is so great and could make the non-cider drinkers, cider drinkers.

Death & Co

A renowned NYC cocktail institution, Death & Co now has a location in Denver. And, it’s a great cocktail bar

Death & Co

Death & Co is located in the lobby of the Ramble Hotel, a 50 room boutique hotel is inspired by the french salons of the 17th Century.  We didn’t stay there but based on the lobby, chances are that the rooms are pretty nice. And, it’s in a great location, if you are looking for somewhere a little removed from the business of downtown.

Back to the cocktails. Their menu has plenty of great cocktail options and some pretty tasty food items.

If you are looking for the perfect date location or for a night out with friends, this is the perfect place.

Work & Class

Our mean at Work & Class was one of the more memorable dining experience that we have had. Their motto is to welcome everyone, with arms wide open and provide them a square meal and stiff drinks and all of that at a fair price.

They focus on homestyle Southern & Latin American cuisine. On the evening that we stopped by for dinner, the special was gluten-free fried chicken. And, it was really good!

Everything we had was fantastic! We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen, which was pretty interesting. It’s a very small restaurant built from shipping containers and so the kitchen isn’t very spacious.

C Squared Cider and Bierstadt Lagerhaüs Brewery

C Squared Cider’s tasting room has a full gastro pub menu with craft beer and some cocktails too. They share a space with Bierstadt Lagerhaüs Brewery and The Rackhouse restaurant.

We ordered a flight of their ciders. They were great, especially their ginger one. We also enjoyed a Slow Pour Pils from Bierstadt. It’s a great concept to have a cidery and a brewery share a space. This way, there’s something for everyone.
