If you are looking for a quick bite and aren’t afraid of carbs, the Biscuit Bitch Seattle is the place for you. While traveling, we always try to find unique sounding places to check out. When we stumbled upon this place, we knew we had to try it! We stayed near the Pike Place Market and decided to check out the Biscuit Bitch at Caffé Lieto location.
We headed there on a Saturday morning, when we arrived a few minutes before 8 am, there was a short lineup in front of the place. Once it opened, the line was moving very quickly so the pressure was on to decide what we wanted. With so many savory and sweet options, all with creative name, making a decision wasn’t so easy.
The Biscuits
We did end up ordering a “Canadian Bitch” which has bacon, peanut butter and maple syrup (pictured above) and a “Buttered up Bitch” which is with butter and jam. We just had time to order coffee and pay and our food was ready.
The popularity of biscuits in Canada is definitely less than in the USA. But with a name like that you and a whole store dedicated to biscuits we expected the biscuits to be good. Well, they didn’t disappoint! The biscuits were buttery and very flaky, without a doubt the best we have ever had. And, the Canadian Bitch does sound like an odd combination, but it definitely works! We liked it so much, we replicated it at home. The recipe is easy so, try it out!
The shop is small with no indoor seating but there’s a few tables outside to enjoy when it’s not raining. It was a very nice day so we decided to walk down closer to the Pike Place Market and find a place to stop and eat.
Finally, if you are easily offended beware. This might not be the place for you. But if you aren’t, you won’t be disappointed. For those of you with gluten sensitivities, they do have gluten-free biscuits.
