*** We are heartbroken about the recent devastation caused by the wild fires. Over the years we have spent many hours in Lahaina, the memories will always hold a special place in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Maui. Please support if you can. ***
Known mostly for its pies, Leoda’s Maui is one of the best places to eat on the Island. It is a very popular counter-serve café that specialized in comfort food, while still having a menu that will keep everyone you’re travelling with happy. Typically, we stop by on our way from the airport to Ka’anapali.

The café is cute and quaint, with a cottage feel. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you are struggling to make food decisions.
Like so many people who visit Maui, we drove past Leoda’s countless times before ever stepping foot inside. Finally, after a friend recommended we try it, we stopped in and we’ve been hooked ever since.
It’s a few miles outside of Lahaina Town, in Olowalu, between Mile Marker 15 and 16 appearing almost out of nowhere. It is a 10 minute drive from Ka’anapali Beach Resort so, it’s a quick drive.

Doing the Road To Hana? They’ll pack your lunch to take with you.
Flying home? They’ll pack your food to take on the plane too.
The Food
For breakfast, try their seared ahi benedict, since it is not something that you can get anywhere. Also, it’s probably the best eggs benny on the planet. Seriously.

If you are looking for something a little less adventurous, you can go for the Ham’n Benedict. Or, a more traditional breakfast they have that too. But hey, if you decide to have pie for breakfast, we wouldn’t judge. You’re on vacation after all.

For lunch, Leoda’s has several great options, including the amazing club sandwich which is served on fresh baked bread. None of the sandwiches come with sides, so if you’re hungry and looking for something extra maybe try the hand cut fries. A healthier option is the out of the garden salad. It’s a simple garden salad made with fresh local ingredients.

For the hotdog lovers our there, get the Lahaina dog with the upcountry dog setup. The staff recommended it and it was fantastic.

The Pies
Leoda’s signature pie is the coconut cream which we would highly recommend. But, you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

Often we can’t decide because they are all so good, so we get a couple of the mini-pies to take with us for eating after we hit the beach, or dessert after dinner.

Also, if you get there and there’s a lineup out the door, don’t turn around. The lineup moves quickly. Since seating is limited, if you intend to stay have someone grab a table and someone else stay in line to order. We promise, it’s worth the way.
So, what’s is your favorite kind of pie?
