Red Passion Cocktail

The inspiration for our Red Passion Cocktail recipe came from a recent trip to Italy. While visiting Lake Como, we enjoyed a great cocktail made from gin, Campari and grapefruit soda. After a few attempts to replicate it at home, we are finally ready to share our version. Not only is it delicious, but also has a pretty pink color.

If you’re not familiar with Campari? It’s an iconic Italian liqueur, known as an apéritif, belonging to the amaro family. Crafted from an infusion of herbs and fruit in alcohol and water, Campari is distinguished by its deep red color. Its flavor profile is very bitter, with citrus notes, complemented by hints of spice, such as clove and cinnamon. I can’t lie, it’s not a flavor profile that I enjoy drinking in its own, but it works in a cocktail.

Servings 1 cocktail

Ingredients

• 1 oz Gin
• 1 oz Campari
• 7 oz Sparkling Grapefruit Soda
• Ice
• 1 sprig Rosemary Sprig

Instructions

• Select your favorite cocktail glass.
• Add ice to your glass. Between 1/2 to a full cup usually works but it will depend on the size of you glass.
• Measure 1 oz of gin and pour in the glass.
• Measure 1 oz of Campari and pour in the glass with the gin and stir.
• Add 7 oz of sparkling grapefruit soda to the glass.
• Garnish with a sprig of rosemary or anything else that you would like.
• Enjoy!
